This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia (high blood calcium levels), sarcoidosis, or kidney disease. Additionally, individuals with a known allergy to this medication or its components, infants under 12 months of age, patients with kidney stones, and those with severe renal insufficiency should avoid this medication. During the course of taking this medication, it is advisable not to take phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids concurrently. Women who are receiving medical treatment, pregnant or potentially pregnant, lactating women, premature infants, and infants should consult a professional before taking this medication. Patients with heart or circulatory problems, kidney disorders, or hypoproteinemia, as well as those taking cardiac glycosides and with a history of kidney stones, should also consult a professional. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hypotension, flushing, irregular heartbeat, or skin rashes occur while taking this medication, it should be discontinued immediately and a professional consulted. Overdose may cause gastrointestinal disorders, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, and edema, so caution is necessary. Long-term use may lead to hypercalcemia or urolithiasis, so regular monitoring is needed. Caution is especially required if taken in conjunction with mineralocorticoid antidiuretics or triamterene as it may induce hyperkalemia. Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage, and it is advisable to avoid teas containing tannins such as green tea or black tea before and after taking this medication. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. It is also important to prevent misuse and maintain the quality of the medication by not transferring it to another container.
