The vitamin D contained in this medication helps prevent bone and tooth development disorders and the occurrence of rickets. Therefore, vitamin D plays an important role in maintaining healthy bones and teeth, and through these effects, it improves overall skeletal health.

How to take

Adult dose

Individuals aged 8 and older take 1 tablet once daily.

Child dose

Children aged 8 and older take 1 tablet once daily.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia, which is a high calcium level in the blood, patients with sarcoidosis, a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause, and those with kidney disease. Additionally, individuals who have allergic reactions to this medication or its components, infants under 12 months, patients with kidney stones, and patients with severe renal failure should avoid this medication. This medication contains lactose, so individuals with congenital lactose intolerance should not take it. Do not take this medication concurrently with phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids. Infants under 1 year, individuals under medical treatment, children who receive adequate sunlight and normal diet, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, breastfeeding mothers, premature infants, and infants should consult a specialist before taking this medication. Individuals with heart or circulatory problems, kidney impairment, hypoalbuminemia, those taking cardiac glycosides, and those with a history of kidney stones should also consult a specialist. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hypotension, flushing, irregular heartbeat, skin rash, gastrointestinal symptoms, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, or edema occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. In case of overdose, gastrointestinal symptoms, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, and edema can occur, so caution is needed. Long-term use may cause hypercalcemia or nephrolithiasis. Particularly, caution is advised when taking this medication with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene due to the risk of hyperkalemia. Dosage and administration must be strictly followed, and supervision by a guardian is needed when administering to children. It is best to avoid drinking tea containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, before and after taking this medication. Store this medicine out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and keep it tightly sealed in a dry and cool place. Additionally, it is important to avoid transferring it to other containers to maintain quality.
