This drug has a vasodilatory effect that may lower blood pressure; therefore, taking it with nitrate medications or NO donors can pose a risk of excessive hypotension. Patients with heart or vascular problems should consult a physician before using this drug, and it is advisable not to use it in patients with severe cardiovascular disease. Because sexual activity can place a burden on the heart, patients with unstable cardiovascular conditions should not use this drug. This drug can temporarily lower blood pressure due to its vasodilatory effect, so caution is required, particularly when lying down, as blood pressure may drop. Certain patients, particularly those with recent cardiac arrhythmias or heart failure, hypotension or hypertension, retinal diseases, etc., should exercise caution as the safety of this drug has not been established. If an erection lasts longer than 4 hours or is accompanied by pain, medical attention should be sought immediately, as untreated priapism may lead to penile tissue damage and permanent erectile dysfunction. This drug may have an excessive vasodilatory effect in patients with certain heart diseases or severely impaired blood pressure control. Taking this drug with certain antivirals such as Ritonavir can greatly increase its blood concentration, heightening the risk of side effects necessitating dose adjustments. The artificial sweetener aspartame included in this drug should not be administered to patients with phenylketonuria, and aspartame intake should be limited. Patients with allergies to this drug or its components, those who regularly take nitrate medications, patients advised against sexual activity due to cardiovascular diseases, severe liver failure, hypotension or uncontrolled hypertension, those with recent severe cerebrovascular conditions, retinal diseases, patients taking other erectile dysfunction treatments, children under 18, and women should not take this drug. Patients with penile deformities or bleeding disorders, elderly patients, severe renal or liver failure patients, and those on certain medications should use this drug cautiously, and dose adjustments may be necessary. While taking this drug, side effects such as headache, flushing, dyspepsia, dizziness, visual disturbances may occur, and if these symptoms are severe or persistent, consultation with a physician is advised. In case of adverse cardiovascular reactions or sudden vision loss or hearing decrease, discontinue the medication immediately and consult with healthcare professionals. This medication should only be used after a thorough evaluation of cardiovascular status, and if symptoms of cardiovascular strain occur during sexual activity, it should be stopped immediately and the physician informed. Caution is required when driving or operating machinery, as visual disturbances or dizziness may occur. It is safer not to combine this medication with other erectile dysfunction treatments, and caution is also needed when used with certain blood pressure medications or other drugs. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not use this drug, and dose adjustments are necessary for children and the elderly.
