This medication contains lactose, and should not be used by patients with genetic conditions such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Additionally, individuals with allergies to this medication or other H2 receptor antagonists should not take it. Those with difficulty in swallowing are also advised against using this medication. Patients with unexplained weight loss or persistent abdominal pain should use this medication cautiously, as other conditions may be present, requiring attention. If you have kidney disease, blood calcium levels must be monitored. If you are taking other medications, consult with your doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. In particular, antacids can interact with other drugs, so caution is necessary. Rarely, allergic reactions or liver dysfunctions may occur upon taking this medication. Occasionally, gastrointestinal problems such as nausea, diarrhea, constipation, reduced appetite, abdominal discomfort, and vomiting can occur. Skin rashes, itching, hives, and rare instances of skin peeling may occur. Headaches, fatigue, joint pain, and muscle cramps are also occasionally reported. If symptoms persist for more than two weeks of usage, consider the possibility of other conditions, stop taking, and consult with your doctor. It is best not to take it for more than two weeks. If you have exceeded the prescribed dosage, stop taking immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Caution is required when patients undergoing hemodialysis use this medication along with phosphate binders as their effectiveness may decrease. The antacids included in this medication can interact with multiple drugs; therefore, maintain at least a two-hour interval when taken with other medications. Caution is particularly necessary when taken concurrently with atenolol, metoprolol, antibiotics, and iron supplements. Concurrent use of other gastrointestinal medications can lead to excessive effects causing unexpected side effects, so they should not be combined. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant are advised against using this medication. Although there have been no reports of teratogenicity in animal studies, the safety cannot be completely confirmed due to reports of ossification abnormalities from excessive intake of certain ingredients. Nursing mothers are also advised against using this medication as it passes into breast milk in small amounts and long-term or high-dose use could affect the infant. Children under 15 years of age should always consult with a doctor before taking this medication. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place. To maintain quality, do not transfer it to another container.
