This medication is primarily used to treat constipation. It also helps relieve symptoms such as loss of appetite, abdominal distension, abnormal fermentation in the intestines, and hemorrhoids that can arise from constipation. Therefore, this medication is effective in improving constipation and various symptoms associated with it.

How to take

Adult dose

For adults (15 years and older), take 1-3 tablets once daily at bedtime (on an empty stomach). Start with the minimum dosage and gradually increase or decrease according to the shape and condition of the stool.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals with serious gastrointestinal diseases such as acute abdominal diseases or bowel obstruction. Additionally, patients with a genetic issue that prevents lactose breakdown should not take this medication. It is advisable not to take antacids or milk within 1 hour after taking this medication. Individuals experiencing severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, and those taking other medications should consult a doctor or pharmacist. Individuals with allergic tendencies or a family history, as well as those with a history of bleeding or bowel function disorders, should consult an expert before taking this medication. This medication contains a dye called Tartrazine, so those who are allergic to this component should exercise caution. If symptoms such as skin rashes, itching, severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, or vomiting occur after taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If you experience abdominal discomfort or cramps, or if constipation does not improve after taking the medication for more than a week, stop taking it and consult a doctor. This medication should be taken according to the prescribed usage and dosage. Children under the age of 10 should avoid taking it unless under special circumstances. The tablets should be swallowed whole and not chewed, and prolonged use can decrease efficacy and worsen constipation; thus, it should not be used continuously for more than a week. If prolonged use is necessary, the cause of constipation must be determined. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, protected from direct sunlight, and kept in a cool, dry place in a tightly sealed container.
