Improvement of hypertension and hyperlipidemia, reduction of cardiovascular disease risk
This medication is used in patients who need to take both telmisartan and rosuvastatin simultaneously. Telmisartan controls hypertension and reduces the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular disease mortality in high-risk patients. Rosuvastatin improves hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, slows the progression of atherosclerosis, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease. It particularly helps reduce the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and artery revascularization in patients with cardiovascular risk factors. The combination of these two medications effectively manages hypertension and dyslipidemia, improving cardiovascular health.
Telmisartan: It is recommended to take 40 mg orally once daily for essential hypertension, although a dose of 20 mg daily may be effective in some patients. The dose can be increased to 80 mg once daily if necessary. For reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, 80 mg orally once daily is recommended. Patients with liver dysfunction should not exceed 40 mg daily. Rosuvastatin Calcium: For primary hypercholesterolemia.
