This medicine is used to lower total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, Apo B, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol levels while increasing HDL cholesterol in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. It is also used as an adjunct treatment in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia who do not respond adequately to other treatments. This drug should be used in conjunction with dietary measures to maximize effectiveness, and secondary causes of high lipid levels, such as hypothyroidism, should also be addressed. In cases of very high lipid levels, it is essential to establish an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan through special tests. It provides appropriate lipid-lowering therapy for patients at high risk for cardiovascular diseases, helping improve health.
