Therefore, this medication is used to effectively supply vitamin D and calcium to improve bone health in these situations.

How to take

Adult dose

Take 1 tablet once a day.

Child dose

Children aged 8 years and older should take 1 tablet once a day.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with hypercalcemia (excessive calcium in the blood), sarcoidosis (a mysterious systemic inflammatory disease), or those with kidney diseases. Additionally, patients who are allergic to this medication or any of its components, infants under 12 months, those with kidney stones, and severe kidney failure patients should also refrain from taking this medication. Since this medication contains lactose, patients with genetic issues like lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not use it. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, low blood pressure, facial flushing, irregular heartbeat, or skin rash occur while taking this medication, it should be stopped immediately, and a healthcare professional should be consulted. Taking an excessive amount may result in severe symptoms like gastrointestinal events, edema, or congestive heart failure. Long-term use may lead to hypercalcemia or the formation of stones, so caution is required. Caution is particularly needed when taken with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene, as there is a risk of hyperkalemia.
