This medication is used to treat constipation. It also helps relieve symptoms such as loss of appetite, abdominal bloating, intestinal dysbiosis, and hemorrhoids that occur due to constipation. Therefore, it facilitates bowel movements and reduces associated discomfort, improving quality of life.
Adults (15 years and older) should take 1 to 3 tablets once a day at bedtime (on an empty stomach). The initial dose should be the minimum amount, and the dosage can be increased or decreased gradually based on the shape and condition of the stool.
This medication should not be taken by individuals with acute abdominal conditions, gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcerative colitis, or similar issues. Patients with intestinal obstruction, meaning a blockage in the intestine, should also avoid this medication. This product contains lactose, therefore individuals with hereditary lactose intolerance should not take it. It is advisable not to take antacids or milk within 1 hour after taking this medication. Individuals with severe abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting, as well as pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, and those taking other medications should consult a healthcare professional before using this medication. If you have a history of allergies or family history of allergies, or have experienced rectal bleeding or intestinal dysfunction, you should also consult a doctor. Those allergic to yellow 4 (tartrazine) included in this medication should use it with caution. If symptoms such as skin rash, redness, itching, severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, or vomiting occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If abdominal discomfort or cramps occur, stop taking the medication and consult a medical professional. If constipation does not improve after one week of use, stop taking the medication and investigate the cause. Always adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration, and it is safer for children under 10 to avoid use unless specifically directed otherwise. When taking the medication, it is recommended to swallow the tablets whole without chewing. Prolonged use may lead to tolerance to the medication and worsening of constipation, so it should not be continuously taken for more than a week. If daily laxative use is required, the cause of constipation should be professionally evaluated. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, ideally in a tightly sealed container. Additionally, to prevent misuse and maintain quality, it is advisable not to transfer it to another container.
