It is important not to take this medication concurrently with tetracycline antibiotics, as the two may interact and reduce effectiveness. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medications. In particular, antacids containing aluminum may affect the absorption of various drugs, so it is advisable to space out dosing by about 1 to 2 hours. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, and those who are breastfeeding should consult a professional before taking this medication, as it is uncertain whether it is secreted in breast milk. Patients with decreased kidney function or a history of kidney disease should be cautious, as prolonged use of this medication may raise magnesium levels. If you experience symptoms such as diarrhea, constipation, abdominal bloating, skin rash, numbness, symptoms of phosphate deficiency, dry mouth, taste disturbance, headache, drowsiness, dizziness, or lethargy while taking this, stop taking it immediately and consult a professional. It is crucial to adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration, and it is advisable to swallow the medication quickly so it does not remain in the mouth for long. Also, be cautious not to use this medication continuously for long periods. This medication may accumulate in the nervous system and bones due to aluminum, so special care is required for prolonged use.
