This medication is used for patients who need to take valsartan and rosuvastatin simultaneously. Valsartan helps in the treatment of essential hypertension and heart failure, especially in heart failure patients intolerant to ACE inhibitors or at risk of post-myocardial infarction mortality. Rosuvastatin is used as an adjunct to diet in the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, lowering total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels and delaying the progression of atherosclerosis. It also helps reduce the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and revascularization in patients at high risk for cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, this medication is effectively used to manage hypertension and the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
