Precautions

This drug can cause serious harm or death to the fetus and newborn if administered to pregnant women during the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. This drug should not be used by individuals who are allergic to the active ingredients or similar substances, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients with severe liver dysfunction, patients with severe aortic stenosis, patients with biliary obstruction, patients on dialysis, patients in shock, certain diabetic patients, and those with severe kidney impairment. Patients with hypotension due to low fluid or sodium levels may exhibit signs of hypotension, so their condition should be closely monitored before administration. Because of the vasodilatory effect, acute hypotension may occur, so caution is needed. It should also be used cautiously in patients with severe heart disease or reduced kidney function and liver dysfunction, as this drug may affect kidney function and regular kidney function tests are recommended. During treatment, side effects such as dizziness, headache, hypotension, orthostatic hypotension, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, rash, and edema may occur, and if any abnormal symptoms appear, consultation with healthcare personnel should be sought immediately. This drug may interact with other medications, especially potassium-sparing diuretics, potassium supplements, lithium, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, so caution is advised. It is also recommended to avoid grapefruit juice. This drug should not be taken during pregnancy and if planning or currently pregnant, consultation with a doctor is essential. Breastfeeding can allow this drug to pass into breast milk, potentially causing abnormal reactions in the infant, so either breastfeeding should be discontinued or the use of this drug should be stopped. Safety and efficacy in children under 18 have not been established, thus it is not recommended. In elderly patients, drug metabolism may slow down due to reduced kidney and liver function, so start with a low dose and take with caution. In cases of overdose, severe hypotension and symptoms due to vasodilation may occur, requiring immediate medical attention for appropriate treatment. This drug should be kept away from direct sunlight and moisture and stored out of reach of children, and it is advisable not to transfer it to another container.
