Adult dosage

The recommended dose of 25-50 mg should be taken 1 hour before sexual intercourse, once daily. Depending on circumstances, it may also be taken between 4 hours and 30 minutes before sexual activity. The dosage may be adjusted based on efficacy and tolerability. Specific patients (over 65 years old, liver failure, severe kidney failure, co-administration of CYP450 3A4 inhibitors, etc.) should reduce the initial dose to 25 mg, and when taken with ritonavir, do not exceed 25 mg for 48 hours.

This medication acts to dilate blood vessels and lower blood pressure. Therefore, during treatment, it is essential to consult a doctor if taking nitrates or NO donors, as there is a risk of severe hypotension. Patients with cardiovascular diseases should thoroughly assess their heart condition before taking this medication, and sexual activities that may strain the heart are not recommended. This medication may temporarily lower blood pressure, so special caution is necessary for patients with hypotension or hypertension. If an erection lasts longer than 4 hours or is accompanied by pain, seek medical attention immediately. This medication's use is limited for patients with cardiovascular problems, difficulty in blood pressure control, or certain eye diseases.
