Precautions

This drug can cause serious damage to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it must be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. This drug should not be administered to certain patients, such as those allergic to this drug or its components, pregnant women or women of childbearing age, patients with severe liver disease, and those with hereditary angioedema. Elderly patients, patients with impaired kidney function, and patients at risk of high serum potassium levels should use this drug with caution, as blood pressure may drop rapidly. This drug is primarily used for the treatment of hypertension and is generally well-tolerated, but some patients may experience side effects such as dizziness, muscle cramps, headaches, cough, and dyspepsia. Serious allergic reactions, such as angioedema, may occur rarely, so if swelling of the lips or face or difficulty breathing develops, medical attention should be sought immediately. During the use of this drug, monitoring for changes in liver function, kidney function, low blood pressure, and hyperkalemia is necessary, which may require regular blood tests and status monitoring. Additionally, as this drug can interact with other medications, it is important to consult a physician when using it alongside potassium supplements, certain diuretics, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid using this drug, and if it must be used, they should consult a healthcare provider. This drug is not intended for use in children, especially those under 6 years old or in pediatric patients with severely impaired kidney function. Since this drug lowers blood pressure, dizziness or lightheadedness may occur during use; caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. In the case of an overdose, symptoms such as low blood pressure and cardiac arrhythmias may occur, and immediate medical attention is required.
