Vitamin D helps maintain healthy bone and dental development during critical life stages such as pregnancy, lactation, growth periods, and old age. It is also effective in preventing rickets. Zinc is also included to support the maintenance of bodily functions. These nutrients supplement vitamin D and zinc, which are often deficient during growth and old age, thereby supporting health. Therefore, this medication is used to maintain bone health and promote growth.

How to take

Adult dose

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals with high calcium levels in the blood, unknown systemic inflammatory diseases, or kidney diseases. Additionally, those with allergies to this medication or its components, infants under 12 months, patients with kidney stones, and those with severe renal failure should avoid taking this medication. During treatment, do not take medications like phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, and antacids simultaneously. Women receiving medical treatment, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, breastfeeding individuals, premature infants, and young children must consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. Care is especially needed as the vitamin D component can be transmitted through breast milk, potentially causing hypercalcemia in infants. Individuals with heart or circulatory issues, kidney disorders, hypoproteinemia, or a history of kidney stones should also consult an expert before taking this medication. This medication contains the dye Yellow No. 203, so those with allergies or sensitivities to it should use it with caution. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, red spots, irregular heartbeats, central nervous system issues, gastrointestinal disturbances, hypotension, or pulmonary edema occur during use, stop taking it immediately and consult a professional. Overdosage may also lead to gastrointestinal issues, electrolyte imbalances, and heart failure symptoms, so caution is needed. In particular, taking it with aldosterone antagonists or trimethoprim can increase the risk of elevated potassium levels in the blood. If symptoms do not improve after about a month of use, consult a professional. Be sure to follow the prescribed dosage and keep away from tannin-containing teas such as green tea or black tea before and after taking this medication. Keep this medication out of reach of children, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and keep it tightly sealed. Additionally, do not transfer the medication to other containers as this can compromise quality and prevent misuse.
