This drug is used to treat essential hypertension and is effectively administered in addition to telmisartan alone for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled.

How to take

Adult dose

For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by telmisartan alone, this drug should be taken once daily with water, regardless of meals. Before switching to this combination drug with fixed doses of each component, it is recommended to adjust the dose of each component according to individual needs. - The telmisartan/hydrochlorothiazide combination 40/12.5 mg can be used for patients whose blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled with telmisartan 40 mg.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy in children under 18 years of age have not been established.

Precautions

This drug should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it can cause serious harm to the fetus. It should not be taken if there is an allergy to any of its components or if there are specific liver or kidney diseases. Hypokalemia, hyperuricemia, hyponatremia, anxiety, depression, dizziness, insomnia, sleep disturbances, visual disturbances, temporary blurred vision, light-headedness, tachycardia, arrhythmia, hypotension, orthostatic hypotension, diarrhea, dry mouth, abdominal distension, abdominal pain, constipation, dyspepsia, vomiting, gastritis, liver function abnormalities/liver impairment, erythema, itching, rash, increased sweating, hives, back pain, muscle cramps, myalgia, arthralgia, erectile dysfunction, and
