Adults and children aged 12 years or older or weighing 40 kg or more should take 250 mg/125 mg of Amoxicillin/Clavulanate Potassium orally 3 times a day every 8 hours. In cases of severe and respiratory infections, the dose may be increased to 500 mg/125 mg per administration. For patients with renal impairment, doses should be adjusted based on the creatinine clearance. For creatinine clearance between 10 to 30 mL/min, administer 25 mg of Amoxicillin.
Child dose

This medication is effective in treating infections caused by various bacteria. It improves respiratory infections such as acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, empyema, and lung abscess, and is also used for treating urinary tract infections such as cystitis, urethritis, and pyelonephritis. It helps in treating pelvic infections and sexually transmitted diseases such as gonorrhea, and is effective against skin and soft tissue infections including boils, abscesses, cellulitis, and wound infections. It is also used to treat osteomyelitis and dental infections, addressing various types of infections. This drug is reliable as it can tackle several resistant strains, including beta-lactamase-producing organisms, which is why it is widely used for the treatment of various bacterial infections.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and children aged 12 years or older or weighing 40 kg or more should take 250 mg/125 mg of Amoxicillin/Clavulanate Potassium orally 3 times a day every 8 hours. Precautions

This medication is a beta-lactam antibiotic and should not be administered to patients with a history of hypersensitivity to penicillins or cephalosporins. Diarrhea, pseudomembranous colitis, dyspepsia, stomatitis, gastritis, glossitis, black hairy tongue, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, colonic pain, acid reflux, loose stools, dry mouth, acute pancreatitis, candidiasis, antibiotic-associated colitis, itching, erythema multiforme, angioedema, serum sickness-like syndrome, hypersensitivity vasculitis, acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis, bronchospasm, hematological abnormalities (leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, hemolytic anemia
