This medicine is used to treat essential hypertension. It also helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease in high-risk patients over the age of 55, such as those with a history of coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, stroke, transient ischemic attacks, or evidence of damage to target organs due to diabetes. It protects patients' health and improves symptoms by lowering the risk of death from myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular disease.

How to take

Adult dose

1. Essential Hypertension As Telmisartan, take 40 mg orally once daily with water, and it can be taken regardless of meals. Depending on the patient, 20 mg once daily may also be effective, and if necessary, it can be increased to 80 mg once daily. The maximum blood pressure-lowering effect will appear 4-8 weeks after increasing the dose. 2. Precautions

This medicine can cause serious harm to a fetus and newborn, particularly during pregnancy; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy.
