Who uses it
Adults
Adult dosage
Typically, 1 tablet twice daily, regardless of meals, taken orally in the morning and before bedtime. 1) Gastric and duodenal ulcers: take 1 tablet twice daily or 2 tablets once daily before bedtime. Particularly for duodenal ulcer patients, taking 2 tablets twice a day in the morning and at bedtime can produce a higher treatment rate. Treatments for ulcers due to NSAID usage or concomitant treatment against NSAID-induced ulcer. Generally, diseases caused by NSAID usage usually heal within 8 weeks, but occasionally the healing period may be extended depending on the patient. In patients where the short-term treatment has been effective for recurrent ulcers, the maintenance therapy is to take 1 tablet once daily before bedtime. 2) Gastroesophageal reflux disease For 8 weeks, take 1 tablet twice daily or take 2 tablets once daily before bedtime. For severe gastroesophageal reflux patients, the dose may be increased to 2 tablets four times daily. 3) Zollinger-Ellison syndrome Start with a dose of 1 tablet three times daily and increase as necessary. In severe cases, based on a physician's guidance, 6 grams of ranitidine per day may be prescribed. 4) Peptic ulcers, acute stress ulcers, and upper gastrointestinal bleeding due to acute mucosal lesions Once oral administration is possible, switch from injection to oral at a dose of 1 tablet twice daily. 5) Pre-anesthetic dosing (to prevent Mendelson syndrome) Administer 1 tablet 2 hours before anesthesia induction. In this case, it is also beneficial to take 1 tablet the night before surgery.

This medication is used for diseases of the digestive organs, such as gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastritis, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. It is also effective for rare acid secretion disorders such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It is used to prevent ulcers that may occur post-surgery and to prevent Mendelson's syndrome through pre-anesthetic dosing. It is used to treat gastric and duodenal ulcers caused by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). This medication helps protect the gastric mucosa by regulating gastric acid secretion and improving symptoms.
