Vitamin D is especially important during pregnancy, breastfeeding, periods of growth, and old age, helping healthy development of bones and teeth, and used to prevent rickets. It also helps maintain bone health by supplementing calcium deficiency. Therefore, the supplementation of vitamin D and calcium is effective in promoting bone health and preventing related diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

Take 1 tablet once a day.

Child dose

Children aged 12 and older should take 1 tablet once a day.

Precautions

This medicine should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia (too much calcium in the blood) or sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease with unknown causes), or individuals with kidney disease. Additionally, those allergic to this medicine or any of its ingredients, infants under 12 months of age, patients with kidney stones, and individuals with severe renal failure should not take this medicine. This medicine contains lactose, so individuals with genetically determined galactose intolerance, lactose deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should avoid it. It is advisable not to take this medicine concurrently with other medications such as phosphate, calcium salt, oral tetracycline antibiotics, and antacids during the treatment period. Infants under 1 year of age, patients currently receiving treatment from a physician, children with extensive sun exposure and a normal diet, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, lactating individuals, premature infants, and young children should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. Individuals with heart or circulatory problems, kidney disorders, low protein levels in the blood, those taking cardiac glycosides, or those with a history of kidney stones should also consult a healthcare professional before use. This medicine contains Yellow No. 5 dye, so individuals allergic to this component should take caution when using. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hypotension, flushing, arrhythmia, or skin rash occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Overdosage may result in gastrointestinal disturbances, hypernatremia, heart failure, and edema, so caution is necessary. Long-term use may lead to hypercalcemia and nephrolithiasis, necessitating regular examinations. Particularly, concurrent use with aldosterone antagonists or triamteren may dangerously elevate blood potassium levels, so caution is advised. Adhere to the recommended dosage and ensure that children take it under adult supervision. It is advisable to avoid consuming teas containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, before and after taking this medicine. Store this medicine out of the reach of children, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, in a tightly closed container. Moreover, do not transfer it to another container to maintain its quality.
