This medication is used to relieve various pain and inflammatory conditions such as degenerative arthritis, periarthritis of the shoulder, tendinitis, tenosynovitis, lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow), muscle pain, and swelling and pain after trauma.
Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 1 to 4 times a day.
This medication contains indomethacin, so it should not be used by individuals who have had allergic or hypersensitive reactions to this drug or similar drugs. Particularly for asthma patients, those with aspirin-induced asthma or who have experienced asthma attacks due to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should be cautious as this drug may trigger severe asthma attacks. Additionally, it is safe not to use this drug if there have been symptoms such as bronchospasm, rhinitis, and angioedema due to aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Children under the age of 11 should not use this drug, and pregnant women in the third trimester should also avoid use due to risks such as delayed labor, neonatal hemorrhage, and fetal cardiopulmonary toxicity. This drug should not be applied to damaged skin such as around the eyes, mucous membranes, wounds or infected skin, or areas with eczema or purulent conditions. Caution is needed as irritation or tingling may occur if the skin is damaged. During the use of this drug, it is advisable not to use it in conjunction with coumarin anticoagulants, hypoglycemic agents, or thyroid hormone preparations due to possible interactions from overdose. Patients with bronchial asthma, psoriasis, pregnant women in early and middle trimesters, breastfeeding women, and those with allergic predispositions or a history of drug allergies should consult with their physician or pharmacist before using this medication. This medication contains propylene glycol, and those allergic to this component should use it with caution. If symptoms such as itching, rash, swelling, heat sensation, dermatitis, anaphylaxis, photosensitivity, headache, or dizziness occur after use, the application should be stopped immediately and a professional consulted. If symptoms do not improve after 5 to 6 days of use, consulting a physician is necessary. Excessive use of this medication can lead to serious side effects such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, confusion, seizures, hypotension, and respiratory distress, so caution is advised. The prescribed dosage and administration should be strictly adhered to; exceeding the recommended amount or applying it over large areas for extended periods can lead to systemic side effects. Children over the age of 11 must be supervised by an adult while using it, and care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes. If it accidentally enters the eyes, rinse immediately with clean water and consult a professional if necessary. Hands should be washed thoroughly after use, and it should only be used externally. Do not exceed 50 grams per week, and avoid using it with occlusive dressings or prolonged application. For inflammatory conditions accompanied by skin infections, it is necessary to use antibiotics or antifungal agents together and to observe the condition carefully. When treating chronic diseases such as chronic arthritis, other treatment methods should be considered along with drug therapy, and side effects should be monitored closely. In case of overdose, appropriate emergency treatment such as gastric lavage and activated charcoal is necessary, along with maintaining electrolyte balance and medical observation. This medication contains alcohol, so it should not be kept near fire, and it should be stored away from direct sunlight in a cool place. Keep it in a safe place out of reach of children and store it sealed in its original container.
