In case of severe disease or infections caused by moderately sensitive pathogens, the dose may be increased to 4g (based on potency) once daily. A single 250mg (based on potency) intramuscular injection is recommended for the treatment of gonorrhea. Precautions

This medication should not be mixed with solutions containing calcium or other drugs. Especially in newborns, combining calcium with this medication can lead to precipitate formation and pose risks, so it must not be administered. Patients with a history of allergies to this medication or hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or penicillins should not use it. Additionally, this medication containing lidocaine should not be administered intravenously, nor should it be given to premature infants or newborns with bilirubin binding issues. Patients with a history of drug allergies or allergic dispositions such as bronchial asthma should use this medication cautiously, and patients with severely impaired kidney function may require dose adjustments. Rarely, side effects such as rash, diarrhea, liver function abnormalities, and blood cell count reductions may appear, so any abnormal symptoms should be reported to healthcare professionals immediately. Regular testing such as liver, kidney, and blood tests is needed during treatment, and particular caution is warranted if administering doses over 1g per day due to potential precipitate formation in the gallbladder. There are no specific antidotes for overdose, and treatment should be symptomatic. If dizziness occurs during the use of this medication, driving or operating machinery should be avoided. Pregnant or nursing women should consult with their doctors to make careful decisions regarding the use of this medication. Careful administration is required in children and the elderly, especially in newborns and premature infants, as this medication can elevate bilirubin levels and pose a risk of brain damage. This medication can interact with other drugs, so all concurrent medications should be reported to healthcare professionals. Finally, this medication should be used as soon as possible after preparation, and the recommended storage temperature and duration should be adhered to for safe use.
