This medicine is used to improve ischemic symptoms such as skin ulcers, pain, and cold sensation caused by chronic arterial occlusive disease. It also helps prevent recurrence after the occurrence of a cerebral infarction, ensuring that the patient's condition does not worsen. Therefore, it is effective in alleviating various symptoms caused by blood circulation problems and preventing the recurrence of cerebrovascular diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

As sildenafil, the usual adult dose is to take 200 mg orally once daily. This medication should be taken on an empty stomach, avoiding meals.

Precautions

This medication may increase heart rate, posing a risk of angina symptoms, so close monitoring for symptoms like chest pain is necessary. It should not be used in patients at risk of bleeding or those who have recently experienced bleeding disorders, heart failure patients, those allergic to this drug or its components, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Patients taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, thrombolytics, menstruating women, patients with coronary artery stenosis, patients with severe renal or hepatic dysfunction, diabetic patients, hypertensive patients, and patients with cardiac arrhythmias should use this drug cautiously. Side effects may include headaches, diarrhea, palpitations, joint swelling, chest discomfort, and in severe cases, bleeding, blood abnormalities, pneumonia, or heart problems, necessitating immediate consultation with a doctor if unusual symptoms occur. Blood pressure and heart status should be checked regularly during use, and signs of bleeding or initial symptoms of blood disease such as bruising, fever, and sore throat should be reported promptly. Dizziness may occur, requiring caution when driving or operating machinery. Taking this medication with food may increase drug concentration and the risk of side effects, so it is advisable to take it on an empty stomach with a 3-hour interval from meals. This drug is metabolized in the liver, so caution is required when taking it with other drugs that may affect hepatic metabolic enzymes, and it should especially not be taken with grapefruit juice. Women who are pregnant or potentially pregnant should not take this medication, and breastfeeding women should discontinue breastfeeding while taking it.
