Improvement of chronic arterial occlusive disease (ulcer, pain) and prevention of recurrence of cerebral infarction.
This medication helps improve ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and cold sensation caused by chronic arterial occlusive disease. It is also used to prevent recurrence after the onset of cerebral infarction. Therefore, it is effective in improving blood circulation and maintaining cerebrovascular health.
The adult dosage is 200 mg once daily administered orally. This medication should be taken on an empty stomach, avoiding meals.
This medication can increase heart rate, possibly leading to angina-like symptoms; thus, careful monitoring of symptoms is essential. Patients with bleeding or a tendency to bleed, congestive heart failure patients, those allergic to this medication or its components, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, and nursing mothers should not take this medication. Patients taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, thrombolytics, women during menstruation, patients with coronary artery stenosis, those with severe kidney or liver dysfunction, diabetic patients, hypertensive patients, and those with certain cardiac arrhythmias should exercise special caution when taking this medication. This medication may cause side effects such as headache, diarrhea, palpitations, joint pain, and chest discomfort, and there is a risk of severe bleeding, blood anomalies, interstitial pneumonia, and heart failure; if any unusual symptoms occur, one should consult a doctor immediately. Dizziness may occur when taking this medication, thus caution is required when driving or operating machinery. Taking this medication with food may increase blood concentration and the risk of side effects, so it is advisable to take it on an empty stomach, particularly avoiding high-fat meals. It may interact with other medications, so patients should consult their doctor or pharmacist when taking it with anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, or CYP3A4 or CYP2C19 inhibitors. Pregnant and nursing mothers should avoid taking this medication, as should women who could become pregnant. Safety in children and neonates has not been established; therefore, use is not recommended. Elderly patients may have reduced bodily functions, so careful adjustment of dosage may be necessary. In case of overdose, symptoms may include headache, diarrhea, hypotension, tachycardia, and cardiac arrhythmias, necessitating immediate medical attention for appropriate treatment. If symptoms of bleeding, heart abnormalities, or blood disorders occur during treatment, inform medical personnel immediately and seek treatment.
