This medication should not be used in certain patients. Patients with poor liver function or elderly patients, as well as those with a history of drug hypersensitivity, should use this medication with caution. As this medication can cause various side effects, if skin rashes, itching, blood abnormalities, liver function abnormalities, heart issues, gastrointestinal symptoms, neurological issues, respiratory difficulties, muscle or joint pain, skin abnormalities, or urinary tract issues occur during use, the medication should be discontinued immediately and a doctor consulted. It is particularly advisable to undergo regular blood tests and liver function tests, and seek appropriate measures should any abnormal symptoms arise. This medication can interact with other drugs, particularly anticoagulants, antiviral agents, and antibiotics, so it is essential to consult a doctor when used in combination. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not use this medication and elderly patients should use it with caution due to an increased risk of side effects associated with liver dysfunction. It is advisable not to use this medication in children as safety has not been established. When taking this medication, do not chew or crush the tablets; they should be swallowed whole, and stored out of reach of children. Long-term use of this medication may lead to impaired absorption of vitamin B12, requiring periodic monitoring. Furthermore, this medication may worsen certain autoimmune diseases, so if symptoms such as skin rashes or joint pain occur, a specialist should be consulted. In the case of an overdose, there is no specific antidote, and appropriate treatment should be given based on symptoms; this medication is not removed by hemodialysis.
