Relief of arthritis and pain in rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, etc.
This medication is used to relieve pain associated with chronic joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis), as well as periarthritis of the shoulder, low back pain, and sciatica. It is also effective for pain caused by non-articular rheumatism. This drug contributes to improving the quality of life of patients by reducing inflammation and pain, thereby helping to relieve joint and musculoskeletal pain.
For aceclofenac, take 200 mg once daily. Do not chew or crush the tablet; swallow it whole. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, the lowest effective dose should be administered for the shortest duration.
Caution should be exercised for patients who consume three or more alcoholic beverages daily, as this medication may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding; consultation with a physician or pharmacist is essential. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular events, and patients with risk factors such as heart failure, hypertension, diabetes, or smoking should carefully consider the use. The risk of cardiovascular side effects increases with longer duration and dosage; thus, the medication should be taken at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible. Severe gastrointestinal conditions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforation may occur, so special caution is needed for the elderly or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases. Various side effects such as dizziness, liver function abnormalities, and skin rashes may occur when taking this medication; any unusual symptoms should be reported to healthcare professionals immediately. Patients with poor heart, kidney, or liver function, pregnant women in late pregnancy, breastfeeding mothers, and those with specific allergies should not take this medication. This medication may interact with other drugs, so those taking anticoagulants, diuretics, blood pressure medications, or antidiabetic agents must consult their physician. Women in early and mid-pregnancy should exercise caution when using this medication; it should not be taken in late pregnancy. Safety for children and adolescents has not been established; therefore, its use is not recommended. Elderly patients have a higher risk for gastrointestinal bleeding and perforation, so they should exercise particular care during use. In case of overdose, symptoms such as gastrointestinal irritation, hypotension, respiratory depression, and convulsions may occur; immediate medical attention should be sought for appropriate treatment. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container should be avoided as it may compromise quality and safety.
Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, mucosal pain in mouth/eyes, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, breathing difficulties accompanied by cough + fever, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), severe lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, altered consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis, urination.
Most commonly gastrointestinal adverse reactions, dizziness, abnormal liver enzyme levels, itching, rash, blood abnormalities (anemia, leukopenia, etc.), hyperkalemia, depression, unusual dreams, insomnia, visual disturbances, optic neuritis, sensory abnormalities, tremors, drowsiness, headache, taste disturbance, neck stiffness, fever, disorientation, confusion, hallucinations, tinnitus, fatigue, palpitations, facial flushing, hypertension, heart failure, dyspnea, bronchospasm, wheezing, digestive disorders.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to prevent exposure to air or moisture. The storage temperature should ideally be maintained between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius. This helps to maintain the effectiveness of the medication and ensures safe use.
