Improvement in blood pressure control in essential hypertension
This medication is used in patients with essential hypertension when blood pressure control is insufficient with monotherapy using either amlodipine or valsartan. It helps effectively manage blood pressure and reduces the risk of complications.
The recommended dose of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advised to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). 5/80 Milligrams: Used in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with amlodipine 5 milligrams or valsartan 80 milligrams. 5/160 Milligrams: Used in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with amlodipine 5 milligrams or valsartan 160 milligrams.
The safety and efficacy of this medication in patients under 18 years of age have not been established, thus its use is not recommended.
