View approved original text

This medication is used as an adjunct to dietary therapy to reduce elevated triglyceride levels in patients with endogenous hypertriglyceridemia. It is effective for the treatment of hypertriglyceridemia (type IV) alone and can be administered in combination with statins for hypercholesterolemia and combined hypertriglyceridemia (type IIb). In particular, it is used in combination therapy for patients with uncontrolled triglyceride levels to improve serum lipid levels. Thus, this medication is effectively used in the treatment of hypertriglyceridemia and related conditions.
