Precautions

This drug should not be used by patients who have had an allergy to any of its components. While taking this medication, severe allergic reactions such as shock or anaphylaxis may rarely occur, so close monitoring is necessary. If such symptoms occur, discontinue the medication immediately and seek appropriate treatment. Additionally, this medication can rarely cause side effects such as decreased white blood cell or platelet counts, so it is important to check blood work regularly and discontinue the medication if abnormalities are detected. It can affect liver function, potentially leading to elevated liver enzymes or jaundice symptoms; therefore, liver health should be monitored, and the medication should be stopped if abnormalities are found. Hypersensitivity reactions such as urticaria, rash, itching, or eczema may occur, and if such symptoms arise, the medication should be discontinued. This drug may cause neurological symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, or numbness, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. Gastrointestinal symptoms may include dry mouth, constipation, abdominal distension, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, abdominal pain, belching, and taste disturbances. In particular, when liver function abnormalities are suspected, there may be a significant rise in liver enzyme levels accompanied by fever or rash; therefore, if these symptoms occur, the medication should be stopped immediately. Blood-related side effects may include thrombocytopenia or changes in white blood cell counts, so regular blood tests are necessary. Other side effects may include breast pain or gynecomastia, milk secretion, palpitations, fever, facial flushing, tongue numbness, cough, shortness of breath, hair loss, menstrual irregularities, elevated kidney function markers, swelling, and foreign body sensation in the throat, so appropriate measures should be taken according to the symptoms. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should only use this medication when the benefits outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been established. This medication may be secreted in breast milk, so breastfeeding women are advised to discontinue breastfeeding while taking the medication. The safety of this drug in children, especially low birth weight infants, newborns, and infants, has not been sufficiently confirmed, so it should be used with caution. Elderly individuals have a similar incidence of adverse reactions as adults but should be more cautious regarding gastrointestinal symptoms due to decreased physiological function. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children, and transferring it to another container may pose a risk of accidents and deterioration in quality.
