Precautions

This medication may put a strain on the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages a day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. If a rash or allergic reaction occurs while taking this medication, it should be discontinued immediately and medical advice sought. Those with a history of seizures or a high risk of seizures should be cautious, as seizures may occur while using this medication. This medication can rarely cause severe allergic reactions; immediate treatment is required if difficulty breathing or severe skin reactions occur. Patients with severe asthma may experience difficulty breathing while taking this medication, so it should be taken in a controlled medical setting, and other analgesics should be considered if possible. Taking this medication with alcohol, sedatives, or other central nervous system depressants may lead to severe drowsiness or respiratory depression, so co-administration should be avoided or done with extreme caution. Patients with head injuries or brain diseases should be careful, as there is a risk of increased intracranial pressure while taking this medication. This medication is an opioid and may cause physical and psychological dependence; caution is advised for long-term use. Patients with impaired liver function should consult a doctor before taking this medication and should be cautious not to use other acetaminophen products concurrently. Certain genetically fast metabolizers may have higher accumulation of the active ingredient in their bodies, which could increase the risk of respiratory depression; dosage adjustments should follow medical advice. It is not safe to use this medication in children under 12 years old or teenagers under 18 years old who have undergone tonsillectomy or adenoidectomy. In rare cases, hyponatremia, a reduction in sodium concentration in the blood, may occur while taking this medication; especially in the elderly or patients with risk factors, symptoms should be monitored closely. Those with allergic reactions, severe respiratory depression, central nervous system drug toxicity, or severe liver or kidney dysfunction should not use this medication. This medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness; caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. In case of overdose, severe respiratory depression or liver damage may occur; contact a medical facility immediately for appropriate treatment. This medication should not be taken with other analgesics or acetaminophen, and the recommended dosage should not be exceeded. Sudden cessation during treatment may induce withdrawal symptoms, so the dosage should be gradually reduced according to medical advice. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should always consult medical professionals before taking this medication, especially during breastfeeding, as it could be transferred to the baby through breast milk and pose risks. Elderly patients may experience more pronounced effects and side effects due to compromised liver, kidney, or heart function, so caution is advised when taking this medication.
