Precautions
This medication should not be administered more than 5,000 IU of vitamin A per day to pregnant women in the first 3 months of pregnancy or women of childbearing potential to reduce the risk of congenital malformations. Patients with hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis, kidney disease, individuals allergic to this medication, infants younger than 3 months, and patients with kidney stones should not take this medication. During the use of this medication, it should not be taken concomitantly with the drug Levodopa. Before taking this medication, infants under 1 year old, patients under medical treatment, children exposed to sunlight with a normal diet, patients with hyperoxaluria, pregnant or breastfeeding women, premature infants, young children, patients suffering from gout, and individuals with a history of kidney stones must consult a healthcare professional. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, itching, dry and rough skin, joint pain, or diarrhea occur during use, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Long-term high-dose use can lead to tolerance, and excessive intake of pyridoxine may cause neurological disorders. High-dose use can aggravate peptic ulcers and cause abnormalities in blood glucose control, hyperuricemia, and liver damage. Prolonged high-dose intake of vitamin A can increase the risk of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. The prescribed dosage and method of administration must be followed strictly during use, and it must be administered under adult supervision for children. Since vitamin A is adequately supplied through normal meals, care should be taken not to exceed a supplementary dose of 5,000 IU per day. This medication may affect blood glucose detection in urine tests and can change urine color to yellow, potentially impacting clinical test results. When storing, keep it out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store it sealed in a cool, dry place. Additionally, to prevent misuse and maintain quality, it should not be transferred to another container.
