Improvement of chronic arterial occlusive disease (ulcers, pain, etc.) and prevention of recurrent cerebral infarction
This medication helps improve ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and coldness due to chronic arterial occlusive disease. It is also effective in preventing recurrence after a cerebral infarction. If cilostazol monotherapy does not yield sufficient results, a combination therapy of cilostazol and Ginkgo Biloba extract can be expected to provide better therapeutic effects. This treatment is effective in improving blood circulation and alleviating symptoms. It is used to select appropriate treatment methods to improve symptoms and prevent recurrence based on the patient's condition.
Typically, for adults, 1 tablet is taken orally twice a day.
This medication works to improve blood circulation and inhibit platelet aggregation, thereby preventing the recurrence of cerebral infarction. However, taking this medication may increase heart rate, posing a risk of angina symptoms, so it is essential to carefully monitor for symptoms such as chest pain. Patients at risk of bleeding, those who have recently undergone surgery, patients with uncontrolled hypertension, congestive heart failure patients, pregnant or nursing women, and individuals with lactose intolerance should not take this medication. Additionally, patients currently using anticoagulants or antiplatelet agents that affect blood coagulation, those with severely impaired kidney or liver function, diabetic patients, and individuals with heart disease should use this medication with caution. This medication can cause serious side effects such as bleeding, blood disorders, interstitial pneumonia, heart problems, liver function abnormalities, so if any abnormal symptoms occur, immediate consultation with a physician is necessary. While taking this medication, early symptoms of blood disorders such as fever, bleeding, bruising, etc., should be reported promptly. Dizziness may occur, so caution is advised while driving or operating machinery. Since this medication is metabolized in the liver, interactions with other medications may occur, particularly when used in conjunction with anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, certain antibiotics, calcium channel blockers, etc. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should not take this medication, and nursing mothers should discontinue use. Safety in children and the elderly has not been sufficiently confirmed, thus caution is necessary when administered, and the elderly may require dose adjustments due to reduced physiological function. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as headache, diarrhea, hypotension, tachycardia may occur, necessitating immediate medical attention. When storing, keep this medication in a tightly sealed container, avoiding exposure to direct sunlight, and store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children.
