Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of thrombus formation in blood vessels, such as venous thromboembolism, so it is advisable not to use it in women at high risk for thrombosis. Caution is particularly needed in cases with risk factors like old age, obesity, prolonged immobility, recovery after surgery, trauma, or cancer. This medication is only approved for use in postmenopausal women and should not be taken by premenopausal women or women who may become pregnant. While it does not induce endometrial hyperplasia, if uterine bleeding occurs during treatment, it is essential to seek medical attention from a specialist. Its safety has not been established in breast cancer patients, and it is not recommended for prevention or treatment. It should also not be administered to individuals allergic to this drug or its components, those with a history of thrombosis, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients with unexplained uterine bleeding, or those with symptoms of endometrial cancer. Additionally, patients with lactose intolerance, hypercalcemia, or kidney stones should avoid use. Patients with hypertriglyceridemia, kidney or liver disorders, restricted mobility, or those taking specific medications should use this medication cautiously, following a physician's directions. This drug may cause drowsiness or visual disturbances; therefore, caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. It is recommended to take supplements if calcium intake is insufficient, and additional supplementation may be necessary for patients at high risk of vitamin D deficiency. There is no specific antidote for overdose, so treatment should be based on symptoms, and blood calcium levels and renal function should be monitored regularly. Keep this medication out of the reach of children, and store it in its original container to prevent degradation in quality and misuse.
