When monotherapy with silostazol is inadequate for relief of ischemic symptoms associated with chronic arterial occlusive disease such as ulcers, pain, and cold sensations, an alternative therapy using a combination of silostazol and ginkgo biloba extract may be utilized to improve symptoms. Additionally, in cases of cerebral infarction excluding cardiogenic cerebral embolism, combination therapy with silostazol and ginkgo biloba extract helps to prevent recurrence. This treatment contributes to improved blood flow and protection of brain function, alleviating symptoms and preventing recurrences for patients.
