Adult dose

Typically for adults, take 3 to 6 tablets once, 2 times a day (morning, evening).

Child dose

For children aged 7 to 14 years, take 2 to 3 tablets once, 2 times a day (morning, evening).

This medication should not be taken by children under 6 years of age or by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as it may cause uterine contractions or increase the risk of premature delivery. Additionally, breastfeeding women should avoid this medication or stop breastfeeding, as the ingredients can pass into breast milk and potentially cause diarrhea in infants. Individuals with lactose intolerance or specific genetic metabolic disorders should also refrain from taking this medication. During the course of treatment, do not take other diarrhea-inducing medications simultaneously. Those with hypertension, heart or kidney diseases, or edema should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Caution is also needed for individuals with diarrhea or gastrointestinal symptoms, and those with weakened physical condition should be careful before taking the medication. If there has been a history of allergic reactions to medications or if other medications are currently being taken, a consultation with a healthcare professional is required. Especially for the elderly, as physical functions may decline, it is necessary to monitor and adjust the dosage. If symptoms such as decreased urine output, severe swelling of the face or limbs, headache, or increased blood pressure occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If skin rashes, itching, or gastrointestinal disturbance symptoms appear, it is also necessary to stop taking the medication and seek advice. This medication must be taken strictly according to the prescribed method and dosage, and due to the varying effects of Rheum among individuals, caution is warranted. Long-term use should generally be avoided, and if long-term use is necessary, consult a healthcare professional. Stimulant laxatives can lead to tolerance or worsening constipation, so it is advisable not to take them continuously for more than a week. Supervision by a guardian is required when administering to children. When taking potassium-containing preparations, licorice, or diuretics, caution is advised as symptoms of hypokalemia or muscle abnormalities may arise. Additionally, when taking with other herbal medications, particular attention should be paid to ingredient overlaps. When storing, keep in a cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture, and out of reach of children. Do not transfer the medication to another container; after use, ensure it is tightly sealed for storage.
