In cases where SGPT levels are continuously elevated due to chronic persistent hepatitis, treatment is required to alleviate liver inflammation and damage, as well as to improve liver function. This condition reflects damage to liver cells, making proper treatment and management crucial. The medication helps to relieve symptoms of hepatitis and supports recovery of liver function, aiding in maintaining a healthy liver state. Therefore, it is used for the treatment of chronic persistent hepatitis.

How to take

Adult dose

Typically, 1 capsule orally after meals, 3 times a day for adults.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with complete bile duct obstruction. This medication contains lactose; therefore, it should not be administered to patients with genetic problems such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Use with caution in patients with chronic active hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, hypokalemia, severe pancreatic disease, peptic ulcer, or cholelithiasis. Gastrointestinal symptoms including diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting may occur occasionally upon taking this medication, and rarely abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, and discomfort in the upper abdomen may occur. Additionally, hypersensitivity reactions such as itching or rash may appear, requiring caution. Transient jaundice may occur; however, this can resolve by discontinuing the medication or using a treatment agent in conjunction. Rarely, generalized fatigue or dizziness may occur, so if symptoms are severe, consult a physician. It is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage and regimen, and if symptoms do not improve or abnormal symptoms arise after more than 8 weeks of continuous use, discontinue use and consult a specialist. Store in a safe place out of reach of children. It is recommended that women who are pregnant or may become pregnant do not take this medication, as there are reports that it may harm the fetus in animal studies. Lastly, caution should be taken when using this medication in conjunction with oral antidiabetic agents, as it may enhance the effects of the antidiabetic medication; consult a physician before use.
