Improvement of blood sugar control in type 2 diabetes
This medication is used to assist in blood sugar control for patients with type 2 diabetes. It helps effectively manage blood sugar by administering Linagliptin and Metformin together, especially in patients who are also following dietary and exercise programs. This helps maintain stable blood sugar levels and contributes to the prevention of complications. Taking this medication in conjunction with improvements in lifestyle can greatly aid diabetes management. Therefore, this medication improves blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes.
This medication is administered twice daily with meals. 1. If not previously treated with Metformin, the initial dose is 1 tablet of this medication 2.5/500 mg twice daily, with a possible increase to 1 tablet of 2.5/1000 mg twice daily. 2. In cases where blood sugar control is difficult with Metformin monotherapy, Linagliptin 2.5 mg twice daily and the existing dose of Metformin should be administered. 3. In combination therapy with Linagliptin and Metformin.
