Relief of allergy symptoms such as allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis, and chronic urticaria
This medication is used for seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, and skin itching. It can also enhance the effect of hydrocortisone topical agents when used in conjunction with the treatment of eczema and dermatitis. It helps improve various allergic and skin disorders.
Adults and children over 6 years should take 10mg of cetirizine hydrochloride once daily before bedtime. For patients sensitive to side effects, it may be administered in divided doses of 5mg in the morning and evening. For patients with kidney impairment, dosage interval and amount should be adjusted according to kidney function. - Normal (CLcr ≥ 80 mL/min): 10 mg once daily - Mild (50 – 79 mL/min): 10 mg once daily -
Children over 6 years old should take 10mg once daily before bedtime, the same as adults. For pediatric patients with kidney impairment, the dosage should be individually adjusted based on the patient's creatinine clearance and body weight.
This medication should not be taken by individuals who have an allergic reaction to certain ingredients or have had such experiences in the past. Patients with very poor kidney function or children under 6 years old should not use this medication. Individuals with a genetic disorder that prevents them from digesting lactose should also avoid taking this medication. During treatment with this medication, the effects of certain drugs may change if taken concurrently, so it is important not to take other medications without consulting a healthcare professional. Excessive alcohol consumption while taking this medication is discouraged. Individuals with kidney or liver problems, or the elderly, should definitely consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication, and dosage adjustments may be necessary. Patients with epilepsy or those at risk of seizures should consult a specialist before taking this medication. This medication may worsen conditions that lead to difficulty urinating, so caution is advised for individuals with relevant diseases. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also exercise caution when taking this medication, and consulting a healthcare professional is recommended. In cases of overdose, confusion, drowsiness, headache, issues with urination, and various other side effects may occur, so immediate consultation with medical personnel is necessary. During treatment, a variety of side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, dyspepsia, and skin rashes may arise; it is important to inform healthcare personnel of any abnormal symptoms. It is advisable to discontinue this medication for a certain period before allergy testing, and caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. Taking this medication with food may slow down absorption, but it does not have a significant impact on effectiveness.

This medication should not be taken with theophylline or ritonavir.
This medication should not be taken with excessive alcohol.
