Precautions

Caution is advised when administering vitamin A in doses exceeding 5,000 IU per day to women within the first three months of pregnancy or those who may become pregnant, as it can pose a risk of congenital malformation. Patients with hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause), kidney disease, kidney stones, severe renal failure, and those allergic to this medication or its ingredients should not take this medication. Infants under 12 months of age should also not take this medication. While taking this medication, it should not be combined with phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline preparations, antacids, or levodopa. Anyone under medical treatment or with conditions such as hyperoxaluria, peptic ulcers, chronic ulcerative colitis, localized colitis, heart and circulatory disorders, kidney disorders, hypoproteinemia, gout, or kidney stones should consult a professional before taking this medication. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, itching, dry or rough skin, joint swelling, diarrhea, constipation, low blood pressure, flushing, irregular heartbeat, skin rash, hair loss, or gastrointestinal discomfort occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Long-term use of high doses may lead to tolerance, and side effects may occur when taken with vitamin B12 or pyridoxine, so caution is warranted. The vitamin A contained in this medication is sufficiently supplied by normal meals, so when used as a supplement, the dose should not exceed 5,000 IU per day, and it is better to avoid consuming tannin-containing teas such as green tea or black tea before and after taking this medication. Additionally, keep out of reach of children, store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight in a tightly sealed container, and do not transfer to another container to prevent misuse.
