Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with skin infections, as it may worsen symptoms. Do not administer to patients with a history of allergic reactions or hypersensitivity to this medication. Patients with eczematous otitis externa and perforated eardrums should be cautious as the healing may be delayed with this medication. Avoid using this medication on areas with skin ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite as it may hinder skin regeneration. It is advisable not to use this medication in patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, rosacea, or itching around the anus or genital area. Do not use this medication in infants under 2 years of age. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, and nursing mothers should use this medication cautiously and limit to the minimum dosage necessary when needed. Children and the elderly also require special caution when using this medication, particularly when used over large areas or for extended periods. This medication may exacerbate skin infections; therefore, avoid use or use with antibacterial or antifungal agents if there is an infection. Long-term or extensive use may suppress hormonal function affecting the entire system, so regular monitoring may be necessary. When applying around the eyes, be cautious of possible increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma risk, and consult a healthcare professional immediately if abnormal symptoms develop. Discontinue use as soon as symptoms improve, and stop if symptoms worsen or do not improve. Do not use occlusive dressings without a doctor's instruction while using this medication, and keep the affected area clean during use. Keep out of reach of children and consult healthcare professionals before use by pregnant or nursing women. In pediatrics, the skin surface area relative to body weight is larger, so it is advisable not to use this medication for more than 3 weeks as side effects may more easily occur. Elderly patients may be at a higher risk for side effects when using this medication, so careful monitoring is required during use. This medication is not for ophthalmic use and should not be used for purposes other than treatment, such as after makeup or shaving.
