Chronic persistent hepatitis with continuously elevated SGPT levels indicates liver dysfunction. This medication is used to alleviate liver inflammation and assist in the recovery of liver cells, thereby improving liver health.

How to take

Adult dose

Typically, one capsule for adults orally, three times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with complete bile duct obstruction. Additionally, since this medication contains lactose, it should not be administered to patients with genetic issues that prevent proper digestion of lactose. Caution should be exercised in patients with chronic active hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, hypokalemia, severe pancreatic disease, peptic ulcers, and bile duct stones. While taking this medication, gastrointestinal symptoms such as occasional diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting may occur, and rarely, abdominal pain, constipation, and heartburn may develop. Allergic reactions such as itching or rashes may also occur, and skin rashes may occasionally develop, but these symptoms usually subside when combined with antihistamines. Transient jaundice may appear; however, this will resolve upon discontinuing the medication or using jaundice treatment agents. Rarely, there may be sensations of heaviness or dizziness. In clinical studies conducted in the country among patients with chronic persistent hepatitis, the incidence of drug side effects was very low; however, serious side effects such as liver cirrhosis, ascites, and acute hepatitis C have been reported, necessitating caution. It is essential to adhere strictly to the prescribed dosages, and if symptoms do not improve or other abnormal symptoms appear after taking the medication for a maximum of 8 weeks, patients should discontinue use and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Keep this medication out of reach of children. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant are advised not to use this medicine, as it may harm the fetus. Additionally, caution should be exercised when taking diabetic medication orally in conjunction with this medication, as the effect of the diabetes medication may be intensified.
