Improvement of blood pressure control in essential hypertension
This drug helps to lower blood pressure in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with amlodipine or valsartan. It is used for essential hypertension and enhances blood pressure control by combining the two medications. This reduces the risk of cardiovascular complications and is effective in stabilizing blood pressure. It safely controls blood pressure to improve the overall health of patients.
The recommended dosage of this medication is one tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advised to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). If blood pressure is not controlled with monotherapy of amlodipine or valsartan, the following dosages can be administered: - 5/80 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy of 5 mg amlodipine or 80 mg valsartan.
The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established for pediatric patients under the age of 18; therefore, its administration is not recommended.
This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second or third trimester of pregnancy, so it must be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with an allergy to any of the active ingredients or similar medications, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, nursing mothers, and patients with severe kidney or liver diseases should not use this medication. Patients with a deficiency of sodium or fluids, those with hyperkalemia, renal artery stenosis, recent kidney transplant patients, those with a history of angioedema, and patients after heart failure or myocardial infarction should use this medication cautiously and require close observation by a physician. This medication may cause side effects such as dizziness, headache, swelling, low blood pressure, skin rash, and dyspepsia, requiring immediate consultation with healthcare professionals if any unusual symptoms occur. Caution should be exercised while driving or operating machinery as dizziness or fatigue may occur, particularly when beginning treatment or increasing the dose. This medication may interact with other antihypertensive medications, potassium supplements, diuretics, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), so it is essential to inform the physician of any other medications being taken. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should not use this medication, and nursing mothers should also avoid taking it. It is not recommended for children under the age of 18 as safety and efficacy have not been established. Elderly patients can be given the standard dosage but should use it under medical guidance considering their physical condition. Severe hypotension or cardiac issues may occur if overdosed, so strict adherence to the prescribed dosage is necessary, and immediate medical attention should be sought if any abnormal symptoms arise.
Urticaria, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, hypersensitivity, fainting, angioedema, vasculitis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, elevations in liver function tests (including serum bilirubin), hepatitis, jaundice, worsening of heart failure, pulmonary edema, myocardial infarction, arrhythmia, bradycardia, atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, acute renal failure, severe edema or urinary abnormalities, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, serum sickness

This medication should be stored in a tightly closed container to protect it from air and moisture. It is advisable to maintain storage temperatures between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius.
