Precautions

This drug should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia (high calcium levels in the blood), sarcoidosis (a type of inflammatory disease), or individuals with kidney disease. Additionally, those who have experienced an allergic reaction to this drug or its components, infants under 12 months, individuals with kidney stones, and severe renal failure patients should avoid taking it. Since this drug contains lactose, patients with lactose intolerance or specific genetic metabolic disorders should not use it. It is also important not to take this drug concurrently with phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids. If you are currently undergoing other treatments or if you are in a sunny environment (like children), pregnant or breastfeeding women, premature infants, individuals with heart or circulatory diseases, renal impairment, hypoproteinemia, or those taking cardiac glycosides should consult a physician or pharmacist prior to use. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hypotension, flushing, irregular heartbeat, or skin rashes occur, immediately discontinue use and consult a professional. Long-term use may lead to hypercalcemia or stone disease, so caution is warranted. Taking it together with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene may increase the risk of hyperkalemia. If an overdose occurs or if symptoms do not improve after taking the drug for more than one month, consult a professional. Always adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration. Children should take this medication under adult supervision. It is advisable to avoid teas containing tannins such as green tea or black tea before and after taking this drug. This drug should be stored out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, in a cool, dry place in a tightly sealed container. It is also important not to transfer the medication into other containers to prevent misuse and maintain its quality.
