Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals with hypersensitivity to salicylates or women within 4 weeks of their expected delivery date, nor should it be applied to mucosal areas or open wounds. Persons allergic to the ingredients of this medication should also avoid using it. Care should be taken to avoid prolonged use over extensive skin areas in neonates or children, as well as in patients with poor kidney function due to the risk of toxicity with prolonged use over large areas. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid prolonged use over large areas since this medication can be absorbed through the skin and carries a risk of toxicity. Breastfeeding women should not apply this medication to the breast area since it can be transmitted to the baby through breast milk. If dermatitis or contact allergy occurs while using this medication, it should be discontinued immediately, and a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. Additionally, care should be taken to avoid excessive increases in salicylate blood levels, which can lead to symptoms of toxicity such as hearing impairment, nosebleeds, nausea, vomiting, itching, and skin dryness. This medication should be used strictly according to the prescribed dosage and administration, and supervision by a guardian is necessary when used in children. If symptoms do not improve after 5-6 days of use, discontinue use and consult a specialist. Using this medication at high concentrations over large areas may increase the toxicity of other medications, and there is a risk of bleeding when used with specific hypoglycemic agents or anticoagulants, so caution is advised. This medication is for external use only and must not be ingested; care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes. If contact with the eyes occurs, rinse immediately with water and seek ophthalmological care if symptoms are severe. Furthermore, avoid applying it to excessively large areas. Store this medication out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry place with the cap tightly closed. Transferring the medication from its original container to another can result in decreased quality or a risk of misuse, so it must be stored in the original container.
