This medication is used for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia. It also helps supply vitamin B6 during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and during or after illness to combat fatigue. Therefore, it is effective for improving anemia and restoring physical strength.
How to take
Adult dose
1 tablet once daily.
Child dose
Children over 8 years old should take 1 tablet once daily.
Precautions
This medication contains iron, and if a child under 6 years old accidentally ingests a large amount, it can lead to serious poisoning and death, so it should be kept out of reach of children in a safe place. People who are allergic to this medication, infants under 12 months, and those with certain iron metabolism disorders should not take it. During treatment with this medication, it should not be taken with phosphate, calcium salts, tetracycline antibiotics, antacids, or levodopa. Infants under 1 year old, individuals undergoing medical treatment, and those with gastrointestinal diseases, heart or kidney issues, or low protein levels in the blood should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. If symptoms such as hives, itching, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, or altered consciousness occur during treatment, or if high doses are taken for a prolonged period, neurological disorders may develop; immediate cessation of the medication and consultation with a professional is advised. Additionally, excessive intake of vitamin B12 or concurrent use with certain diuretics may result in blood abnormalities or hyperkalemia, so caution is necessary. Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage, and when administering to children, a guardian must supervise. It is advisable to avoid consuming tea containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, before and after taking the medication. Store in a place out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, in a cool, dry place, and do not transfer the medication to other containers.
