This medication is used when blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy of telmisartan or amlodipine in patients with essential hypertension. It effectively lowers blood pressure and helps manage hypertension. Uncontrolled blood pressure can place a burden on the heart or kidneys, so this medication plays an important role in preventing such complications. Therefore, this medication is used to improve blood pressure control in essential hypertension.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medication is one tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is advised to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). - 40/5mg: Administer to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with amlodipine 5mg or telmisartan 40mg. - 80/5mg: Administer to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with amlodipine 5mg or this product 40/5mg.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established; therefore, this medication is not recommended for use.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious issues for the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, and should not be used during pregnancy.
