This medication is used in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled by monotherapy with amlodipine or telmisartan. It helps effectively lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage for this medication is 1 tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is advised to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). - 40/5 mg: For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with 5 mg amlodipine or 40 mg telmisartan. - 80/5 mg: For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with 5 mg amlodipine or 40/5 mg of this medication.

Child dose

Precautions

This medication should not be used during pregnancy, particularly during the second and third trimesters, as it can pose serious risks to the fetus. Serious side effects

Hives, severe swelling (angioedema), cold sweat, pallor, breathing difficulties, severe allergic reactions, severe rashes with high fever, blisters, mucosal pain in the mouth/eyes, severe skin reactions, shortness of breath or respiratory distress, asthma attacks, respiratory issues accompanied by cough and fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, liver problems (jaundice), sudden and very severe headaches, and lightning.

Mild side effects

Dizziness, peripheral edema, upper respiratory infections (including pharyngitis and sinusitis), urinary tract infections (including cystitis), anemia, hyperkalemia, depression, insomnia, headache, drowsiness, paraesthesia, visual disturbances, palpitations, flushing, hypotension, cough, changes in bowel habits (including diarrhea and constipation), abdominal pain, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, itching, rash, hair loss, joint swelling, muscle cramps, renal dysfunction (including acute renal failure), urination disorders, and edema.

Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.

Storage

This medication may be sensitive to light, so it should be stored in a container that protects it from light. Additionally, it is essential to maintain a temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius during storage to preserve the medication's effectiveness and safety.
