Improvement of gastric ulcers and gastric mucosal lesions (erosions, bleeding, etc.)
This medication is used for the treatment of gastric ulcers and is effective in improving the damaged areas of the gastric mucosa. It also helps alleviate gastric mucosal lesions such as erosions, bleeding, redness, and edema that occur during acute exacerbations of acute gastritis and chronic gastritis. Therefore, it is used to recover the health of the gastric mucosa and relieve symptoms.
As Rebamipide, take 100 mg orally three times a day. However, in the case of gastric ulcers, administer in the morning, evening, and before bedtime.
This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to its components. Serious allergic reactions such as shock or anaphylaxis may rarely occur during treatment, so careful observation is required. It is also important to periodically check blood status as symptoms such as reduced white blood cells or platelets may appear. As there may be abnormal liver function, liver function tests are necessary, and if symptoms of liver dysfunction or jaundice occur, treatment should be stopped immediately. If allergic symptoms such as hives, rashes, or itching occur on the skin, treatment should be stopped. This medication may cause neurological symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, or numbness, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. Gastrointestinal side effects may include dry mouth, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, belching, and altered taste. If there is a significant increase in liver enzyme levels or if fever and rashes accompany, stop taking the medication and consult a doctor. Blood tests may show fluctuations in white blood cell or platelet counts, so regular testing is necessary. Other symptoms such as breast pain, palpitations, fever, facial flushing, tongue numbness, cough, dyspnea, hair loss, menstrual irregularities, and edema may appear, and if any abnormal symptoms occur, notify a physician. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication if the benefits outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been established. Breastfeeding mothers should avoid nursing as this medication may be passed into breast milk. Safety has not been adequately confirmed for children, especially low-birth-weight infants, neonates, and infants, so caution is required. Older adults should be more vigilant about unusual reactions such as gastrointestinal symptoms due to reduced physiological function.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container that can block light and kept at room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius. Storing in this way helps to maintain the medication's efficacy and safety.
