Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who are allergic to specific ingredients or have had hypersensitivity reactions. Caution is advised if allergic to any antibiotics, especially during combination therapy for eradication of Helicobacter pylori. It is safest for pregnant or breastfeeding women not to take this medication. Caution should be exercised for patients with liver function issues, elderly patients, and those with a history of drug hypersensitivity reactions. If allergic symptoms such as rash, urticaria, or itching occur during the use of this medication, stop taking it immediately. Regular blood tests or liver function tests should be performed, and any abnormalities should be discussed with a physician. Caution is also necessary for patients with heart or vascular problems or severe gastrointestinal symptoms. This medication can rarely cause abnormal symptoms in the central nervous system, respiratory system, musculoskeletal system, skin, and eyes, so report any symptoms if they arise. Long-term use may increase the risk of osteoporosis and fractures, so periodic testing is recommended. Additionally, as this medication suppresses gastric acid secretion, there may be a slight increase in the risk of bacterial infections in the gastrointestinal tract; consult a doctor if diarrhea persists for a prolonged period. There may be interactions with other drugs, so especially when combined with antiviral agents, antibiotics, anticoagulants, etc., consultation with a specialist is necessary.
