This medication is used to control blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension who do not achieve adequate control with monotherapy using Amlodipine or Valsartan.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). For patients with mild to moderate renal impairment, dose adjustment is not necessary, but severe renal impairment patients and those on dialysis should not receive this medication. Patients with liver impairment should not exceed a daily dose of 80 mg of Valsartan in cases of mild or moderate liver impairment.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 years have not been established, so the use of this medication is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters. If pregnancy is confirmed, discontinue use immediately. Patients with allergies to the main ingredient of this medication or related drugs, pregnant or nursing women, patients with severe renal or liver dysfunction, or those with a history of certain heart diseases or vascular edema should not take this medication. Patients with fluid or sodium depletion, hyperkalemia, renal artery stenosis, recent kidney transplant, heart failure, or after myocardial infarction should use this medication with caution and under strict medical supervision. This medication may cause various side effects, including headache, dizziness, edema, blood pressure drop, gastrointestinal symptoms, skin rashes, etc. Consult a healthcare professional immediately if unusual symptoms occur. Be cautious while driving or operating machinery as dizziness or fatigue may occur. This medication may interact with other antihypertensive medications, potassium supplements, certain non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), certain antibiotics, and other medications. Inform your doctor or pharmacist about any other medications you are taking. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should not use this medication, and nursing women should also avoid its use. The safety and efficacy of this medication in children under 18 years have not been sufficiently established, so its use is not recommended. Severe hypotension or heart-related side effects may occur in case of overdose, so it is crucial to adhere to the prescribed dosage and seek emergency treatment if unusual symptoms occur.
